Superintendent's Message
Dear Fairfield Area Community:
Welcome to the Fairfield Area School District where we are steadfast in our focus of empowering tomorrow’s leaders…one Knight at a time! This focus resonates across multiple facets of our school system. It begins with our comprehensive academic programs and our district’s mission, Students First! where our students are engaged in learning, empowered to be career and college ready, and educated to make a difference. Our focus is further fostered through our meaningful extra-curricular programs and activities and culminates with our students honing their skills and developing into our Profile of a Graduate.
Our district is committed to continuous improvement and our meaningful connections with the community we proudly serve. We will be continuing with the following four (4) goals during the 2026-2027 school year to assist us in fulfilling our mission:
- Establishing a culture of learning where 100% of our students demonstrate measurable academic growth:
- Data-informed instruction
- Integration of Profile of a Graduate Skills, K-12
- Daily active student engagement in learning
- Consistent & pervasive use of High-Yield instructional practices
- Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)
- Comprehensive academic and emotional support to achieve a district-wide student attendance rate of 92%
- Safe, secure and nurturing learning environments
- Maintaining safe and secure facilities
- Creating nurturing learning environments that foster and support students to thrive academically and socially
- Utilization of district communication tools (ParentSquare)
- Timely
- Informative
- Clear
I welcome you to join us at our many programs, events, and activities throughout the year. I ask for your continued support of the Board of School Directors, administration, and teachers as we continue to deepen the learning opportunities available to our students. I am excited to continue to support our students as they sharpen their skills and attributes within our Profile of a Graduate. Together, we will prepare our students for career, college, and life in a competitive world.
Go Knights!
